What is Flightgift?

Flightgift is a gift card that can be redeemed to book a flight with over 300 international airlines and 980+ destinations worldwide. Flightgift gives recipients the freedom to choose when to travel and where to explore, as they decide the date, destination and airline.

It doesn’t matter which type of gift (eGift, physical, PDF) or which of the 15 currencies you choose: every Flightgift can be used for bookings worldwide.

Missed the last delivery date?

You can send an eGift directly to the recipient or receive a PDF printout in your inbox for a special gift that’s ready within minutes.

For how long is a Flightgift valid?

Flightgift is valid for two years after purchase.

Can the expiry date of my code be extended?

The expiry date of your code cannot be extended but it can be used for a booking 8-9 months ahead. This depends on the availability shared by the airlines through our suppliers.

Which flights can recipients book?

A Flightgift voucher can be redeemed for any flight available on our website. We partner with over 300+ airlines, including all major airlines.

Can multiple Flightgifts be used for one booking?

It is currently not possible to redeem several gift cards for one booking on our website. However, our Customer Success team will be happy to help you redeem multiple gift cards for one booking. You can contact us here.

My gift card is lost. What do I do?

If your Flightgift is lost, email us immediately with your name, email address and the original purchase receipt. Provided the Flightgift has not already been redeemed, we will deactivate the lost Flightgift and issue you a new one.

Can I make a booking without a Flightgift?

It is not possible to make a booking without a Flightgift. You need a Flightgift voucher code to make a booking on our bookings engine.

In which countries is Flightgift available?

Flightgift is available for use worldwide. You can buy and redeem a Flightgift from all over the world via our website. It is possible to buy and send Flightgift in 15 currencies.

Flightgift is located in Amsterdam, The Netherlands and operates globally.

How do I send a Flightgift?

You can choose to send a Flightgift via three delivery methods:

1. Email: send a digital Flightgift directly to the recipient’s email address. The recipient will receive an email with their Flightgift as a fun animation. You can see an example here.
2. Printable PDF: receive a printable PDF in your inbox. You can print the attachment, fold it into a card and it’s ready to give in person.

3. Physical gift card: Receive a physical Flightgift by post. Send it directly to the recipient or yourself to give it in person. We ship daily from the Netherlands with priority mail to any country worldwide.

How much money can I put on a Flightgift card?

It’s possible to add a monetary value between €/$/£ 25 and 10,000 – and the equivalent in other currencies.

What should I do if I haven’t received my confirmation email?

You can expect to receive a confirmation email within 5 minutes after purchase. Please check the spam folder if it doesn’t appear in your primary inbox. In the absence of a confirmation email, please drop our Customer Success team an email and they’ll be happy to help.

What should I do if I haven’t received my printable PDF?

You should receive your printable PDF within 5 minutes after purchase. Please check the spam folder if it doesn’t appear in your primary inbox. In the absence of a confirmation email, please drop our Customer Success team an email and they’ll be happy to help.

Why is the image on my printable PDF upside down?

The image on your printable PDF is initially printed upside down, ready to be folded into a card. Fold the voucher twice following the dotted line and your image will be upright.

Can I personalise Flightgifts?

Yes, you can personalise any Flightgift by choosing an image or uploading your own, and adding a message.

How long does it take for physical gift cards to arrive by post?

All physical gift cards are shipped with our super-fast worldwide priority service, free of charge. Gifts ordered before 3 p.m. on business days will be shipped the same day. Please see the table below for the shipment times per country.

How do I redeem a Flightgift?

A Flightgift voucher can be redeemed for any flight available on our booking engine here. Simply pay for your flight using your voucher code at the checkout.

We partner with over 300 airlines, including all major airlines, that fly to 980+ destinations.

What happens if the flight is cheaper or more expensive than the value of my Flightgift?

If you have a remaining amount on your Flightgift, you can use it for another booking. If the booking is more expensive than the value of my Flightgift, you can pay any additional cost at the checkout using your chosen payment method.

Do I need to activate my Flightgift before redeeming it?

There’s no need to activate your Flightgift; simply make a booking with your Flightgift using our booking engine and enter your voucher code at the checkout.

Why is my Flightgift deactivated?

All codes have a 24 hour hold period after purchase before they can be used. Please contact [email protected] for assistance.

Can I redeem my Flightgift for cash?

Flightgift can only be redeemed for flights via our booking engine.

What do I do if I haven’t received a booking confirmation email for my flight?

You should receive a booking confirmation email for your flight within 5 minutes after purchase. Please check the spam folder if it doesn’t appear in your primary inbox. In the absence of a confirmation email, please drop our Customer Success team a message here with your booking details and they’ll be happy to help.

How do I know if my booking is confirmed?

Upon completing the booking process, you will see a confirmation page with your booking details. You will also receive a confirmation email to the email address provided.

How can I cancel or change my booking?

If you wish to cancel or change your reservation, please send us an email with your booking details. Note that an admin fee applies for cancellation and change requests and it varies depending on the airline policy.

If your flight is cancelled by the airline, please contact our Customer Success team. Please note that any refund procedure can take up to 30 days from the day of cancellation. All refunds are returned to the gift card used to make the booking.

Flight modifications can either be made on the airline website directly by the passenger or, if direct amendments on the airline website are not possible, through our Customer Success team.

What is the minimum order amount for a B2B order?

In general, we create custom orders from the value of €/$/£ 1,000.

Can I pay by invoice?

It is possible to pay by invoice. Once the payment is received, the gift cards will be ready for use.

What do I do when I don’t have the recipient’s name (yet)?

The recipient’s name field is a required field when creating a Flightgift. However, if you don’t know who the recipient will be yet (for example, when the Flightgift a raffle prize) you can be creative with the name, depending on which delivery method you select:

1. Email: Use an alternative name, such as, ‘For the winner’.
2. Printable PDF: You could fill in a series of dots and write their name after printing, e.g. ‘……………..’.

What happens if my flight is cancelled due to Covid Travel restrictions?

Can I reschedule my flight due to Covid?

Log in to the airline website using the passenger name and booking reference to check if they allow changes directly. If not, please contact our support team for further assistance.
